Image
Happy Saturday, Today is the 1st in my new weekly feature Saturday Stamping! I used a new Colors by Llarowe polish and my Pet'la Toro plate to create this so lets see it. (I will list stockists at the end) 1 -  2 coats of Colors by Llarowe Did the penny drop? which is a Rainbow Connection exclusive and top coat. Look how amazing this rose gold holo is - its stunning  2 - using my liquid latex I painted around the cuticle.  3 - The Stamping! I cleaned the image with acetone 1st, apply polish - I used EDK Pinguino, scrape off excess with creative scraper and pick up image using my fab ur nails stamper - look how perfect that pick up is. I clean my plate in between nails and clean my stamper with a lint roller.  4 - Once all nails are stamped peel off the latex and clean up any remaining polish with a clean up brush and acetone. Then do the other hand! 5 - Top Coat - this is by far the best top coat for stamping Glisten & Glow HK Girl. 6 - Final

Whats in my Nail Care Bag

Its Friday lovelies...... Hope you have all had a good week and have something fun planned for the weekend. So as a nail tech I am always encouraging my clients to look after their nails in between treatments  and I also get asked a lot about what products to use, so I though i'd share some of my must haves. It's important to remember what works for me might not work for you so you might have to try different things before you find the ones that work for you. But here are the tools and products I cant survive without to care for my nails and when doing my manicures. My Leighton Denny Crystal Nail File is my go to file, I also use these on my clients and always recommend them. They are for all nail types and are a treatment themselves turning the nail to dust as you file, they can also be washed easily and come with a 25 year guarantee. In my opinion this is the only nail file you need to own. I will add that I currently have acrylic overlays and these aren't suitab

Top 4 RC purchases - Blue

Hi Lovelies, As I'm sure you have all worked out by now I am a huge fan of the Online Indie Nail Polish shop Rainbow Connection and it is where I buy all my gorgeous Indies. Well for various reasons for the foreseeable future I am gel polishing my nails so I have decided to go on a no buy for a couple of months. Its going to be tough as there are always so many pretties but I am going to save and have a big spend in a few months. As I still want to support Annette and this amazing shop I am going to do a series on My top RC purchases, some will be on my nails between gel manis but most will be on swatch sticks, so I hope you all stick around to see my posts while I'm not buying! 1st up is My top 4 blue polishes - any of my regular readers or IG followers will know that I am a bit of a blue addict and when I buy from a new collection there is always a blue purchased! I just cant get enough of them so this was actually very hard to narrow down to 4 but here they are - 1st

Stamping with EDK Holos

Image
Hi everyone, Firstly I must apologise for my absence in blogging, I have had a lot going on in my personal life which has taken priority and left very little time but hopefully now things have settled down a bit I will be back with regular posts. In one of the facebook groups I'm in the question came up of how well the EDK holo Andromeda would stamp over a holo blue polish so I decided to have a play around and see how they look over a holo polish as we know they look good on black and white. I have swatched half of the collection over a light and dark holo so I will share my results and offer my opinions at the end. First for those who haven't seen them over black and white here they are - First over a red/pink holo is Laguna Over a dark and light blue is Roseta Over a purple/lilac Andromeda Then over a brown/gold Omega I put Pleiades over a light and dark pink Finally over a dark and light green is Orion and here they all are together.
