Happy Monday everyone, Hope you all had a fab weekend and monday morning hasn't been too stressful. I have an unplanned morning off as my nephew is poorly and didn't go to school so I have taken the morning off to look after him so I thought I would use the time to do some swatches and a post. I haven't been buying much polish recently as I have been mainly wearing gel and I wanted to put some money into getting some bits for my business so put myself on a very low buy but I decided stamping polish can be used for work too so these didn't count!! I actually got my 1st HTB polishes for Christmas and have used them a bit but I never did a review/swatches of them so I thought now I had a few more I would. Happy Bank Holiday Nail Lovers. So about 6 weeks ago I finally completed and passed my Acrylic Overlay Nails with Essential Nails. It was the 4th course I have completed with them and I have loved all of them. The great thing about EN is there is no time limit on these courses. I signed up to do acrylics 2 years ago but really struggled to find my passion for it and wanted to focus on my love for natural nails. Then in September after 1 too many nail breaks I decided to get acrylics put on my own nails and this is what spurred me to complete the course as I decided I would be the perfect person to practice on! I did my own infills for several months and finally found my love for acrylic so got my qualification. Hello Nail Lovelies, I have some swatches for you today. I was so excited when the lovely Annette of Rainbow Connection announced she would be stocking the new Bundle Monster gel polishes because not only do the colours look fab but I am having a real love affair with gel at the moment so I new I needed them. I have swatched these over my acrylics so didn't need any base coat but if you are using these on natural nails you need to use your chosen gel base coat and cure for the required time - don't forget to prepare the nail 1st by pushing back the cutilcles, removing any dead skin from the nail and giving them a wipe with nail prep. I then swatched using 2 coats of colour and curing each coat for 45 seconds in my LED lamp and top coated with Bluesky no cleanse top coat which I cured for 60 seconds in my LED lamp. I am back with my Top 4 RC purples today and actually I found this one quite difficult because surprisingly I don't seem to own that many purples! Hello and here I am for another top 4 RC installment. Now I'm sure your all wondering how my no buy is going well you will be pleased to know that I have been failing miserably!! but I am trying to buy less and that is going slightly better - personally I blame Annette for encouraging me to part with my pennies! This week I am showcasing my top 4 greens. I have only just become a big green fan but it has overtaken pink on my favourite colour list and I find its a colour I love to wear at the moment. It was actually really easy to choose my top 4 because I currently have some greens I adore - so here they are. The Happily Ever After collection from Aussie Indie Grace-Full polish was my 1st from this brand and Charming Frog is a pastel green holo, in some lights it looks aquamarine and other turquoise but it's definitely green because it has frog in the name and they are green! So I am late again....but here is my weekend stamping mani. For this manicure I used Femme Fatale Wine and Dandy - This is and exclusive from  Rainbow Connection , Colour Alike B a Mars, Glisten and Glow HK Girl and Creative Shop space stamper all also from RC and Yours YS12 stamping plate. 1st 2 coats of Wine and Dandy and a coat of HK girl top coat. This polish is a gorgeous sparkly deep purple colour and my 1st from FF - it wont be my last, the formula, coverage and dry time is brilliant. I then used my liquid latex around the nail to make clean up easier. Before I apply stamping polish to the plate I give it a clean with acetone, then apply the polish to my chosen image, scrape away the excess, and pick up using the stamper. This stamper gets a perfect pick up just from lightly pressing down on the image. After I have stamped on my nail I clean the excess off my stamper with a lint roller and wipe my plate with acetone.
