Stamper Test and Review

Image
Happy Sunday everyone, hope you have all had a good weekend. I have a post today testing and reviewing some different stampers that I have. Most of us use stamping in our nail art these days but is one stamper better than another? If you don't already stamp I definitely recommend you give it a go as it's brilliant for adding something extra to your manicure but it does take a bit of practice to get the hang of it! I have tested 5 stampers and I purchased all of them from Rainbow Connection. Not only does Annette stock a wide range of polishes she also has stamping supplies and other nail care items so I definitely suggest you have a look on the website and maybe get some Christmas Pressie Ideas! Check out RC here -  http://rainbow-connection.co.uk/ So here are the stampers I tested and my thoughts - 1st up is the New Messy Mansion Jumbo stamper. This comes as a set with 2 super soft heads in translucent and black a stainless steel holder and a credit card style scrape...

Breast Cancer Awareness Manicure

Image
Happy Sunday Fellow Nail Addicts. Well we're into October and that means pink nails for Breast Cancer Awareness. Some of you may not know that I am a qualified nail technician and for the whole of October I will be donating £1 from all the treatments I perform to Future Dreams a Breast Cancer Awareness Charity. So to start the month of right I decided to Paint in Pink...and yes I put and extra £1 in my collection. So here's how I created my mani.  These are the products I used (I will leave all the links below) The polishes are both CBLs - Fast Girls from Rainbow Connection and Courage, Brains and Heart which I won, my Messy Mansion stamper head in a cheap ebay holder, Moyou White stamping polish, Born Pretty Plate BP26, Some chevron vinyls from She Sells Seashells, Pink Glitter and my Glisten and Glow HK girl topcoat from RC I started by painting my nails with 2 coats of colour, I used CBH on my ring fingers and I left it to dry. Then did one coat of topcoat on ...

Stamping Decals on my Uberchic Mat

Image
Happy Sunday Nail Girls. Hope you are having a great weekend! Today I am blogging about one of my newest purchases but definitely a favourite. Last week the lovely Sarah of She Sells Seashells announced she had stocked the new Uberchic Mat (plates are coming soon) so I knew I had to get one as I was wary of ordering direct as I know a lot of UK girls have had custom charges and for £11 it was a no brainer! So this mat is silicon and perfect for making decals, testing polishes, comparing colours, swatches and I'm sure lots of other things, Its also safe to use acetone on so easy to clean up but the dried polish just peels right off. So here's what I did - 1st I used my Leighton Denny one for all to paint in the nails on the mat, you can see in the picture where I have polished, This is the top of the decal and means it will peel right off. While they were drying - they need to be completely dry, I got my other bits out. For this I used Fab Ur Nails FUN14 plate...
