Saturday Stamping (On Wednesday!) Femme Fatale & Yours

Image
So I am late again....but here is my weekend stamping mani. For this manicure I used Femme Fatale Wine and Dandy - This is and exclusive from  Rainbow Connection , Colour Alike B a Mars, Glisten and Glow HK Girl and Creative Shop space stamper all also from RC and Yours YS12 stamping plate. 1st 2 coats of Wine and Dandy and a coat of HK girl top coat. This polish is a gorgeous sparkly deep purple colour and my 1st from FF - it wont be my last, the formula, coverage and dry time is brilliant. I then used my liquid latex around the nail to make clean up easier. Before I apply stamping polish to the plate I give it a clean with acetone, then apply the polish to my chosen image, scrape away the excess, and pick up using the stamper. This stamper gets a perfect pick up just from lightly pressing down on the image. After I have stamped on my nail I clean the excess off my stamper with a lint roller and wipe my plate with acetone. Whats in my Nail Care Bag

Image
Its Friday lovelies...... Hope you have all had a good week and have something fun planned for the weekend. So as a nail tech I am always encouraging my clients to look after their nails in between treatments  and I also get asked a lot about what products to use, so I though i'd share some of my must haves. It's important to remember what works for me might not work for you so you might have to try different things before you find the ones that work for you. But here are the tools and products I cant survive without to care for my nails and when doing my manicures. My Leighton Denny Crystal Nail File is my go to file, I also use these on my clients and always recommend them. They are for all nail types and are a treatment themselves turning the nail to dust as you file, they can also be washed easily and come with a 25 year guarantee. In my opinion this is the only nail file you need to own. I will add that I currently have acrylic overlays and these aren't suitab...

Thumbs Up Nail Wraps Mani

Image
Happy Monday Everyone. A while back I purchased some nail wraps from Thumbs Up Nails (I will leave all the links below) I loved all the different designs they had and how it was instant nail art but I have been putting off using them as to be honest I was a little bit scared! So over the weekend I decided to use some nail wraps to create my mani and I don't know why I was worried they were so easy to use. So here's my step by step - 1) For this mani I used the Thumbs up Nail Wraps called Rors Chach you also get a file and orange stick with them which you need, Grace-full polish in Grape Gumdrop (a rainbow connection exclusive) Glisten and Glow HK girl topcoat from RC and Leighton Denny one for all. 2) I painted 2 coats of Grape Gumdrop on my chosen finger and 1 coat of One for All on my ring finger and thumb (you don't have to base coat the full nails but I did!) (and yes I do have extensions on because my nails were making me sad) 3) Take the chosen nail wrap...
