Nail Gems Itsy giveaway

Hope everyone is having a good week, I am a bit manic lately which is why I have been quiet on my social media but I wanted to share these with you.

I was lucky enough to be chosen as the winner of the lovely Gemmas giveaway on instagram, she had teamed up with Itsy Nails and the prize was 3 beautiful polishes.

I got home from work one day last week and the package was waiting for me and honestly I couldn't believe it when I opened it.

I was only expecting 3 polishes but Gemma had very kindly added lots of extras - nail vinyls, transfers, fines, dotting tools and a cute little mirror. There were also lots of sweeties which I gave to my nephew as I recently joined slimming world!
The polishes were even more beautiful in real life and I couldn't wait to try them.
I have mixed feelings about some of the gel effect polishes on the market so was keen to try a different brand. I'll show you my swatches then give you my thoughts.

1st up is this gorgeous sunny yellow called Mellow Yellow, I am really into yellows at the moment and this one is a great shade for summer.

This absolutely gorgeous grey is City Girl, it is a really easy to wear grey and again I love this shade.

Finally a beautiful blue (you know me and blue!) called In Deep. It's another great colour and perfect for summer too.

So they were the polishes but what did I think...I love them, the formula is spot on - just like a standard polish, it wasn't think or gloopy, it didn't go on streaky. This was 2 coats and it's perfect coverage, perfect everything. The dry time was fab and the finish was super shiny (no top coat in these pics!)
I can't wait to have the time to have play and do some nail art with these because I think the colour combination will be great.

Happy Sunday Nail Lovelies. A few weeks back I was in Poundland and I thought while I was there I would grab a few polishes and bits to review, for £1 each I thought i'd have a try. I settled on 3 of the pastel creme colours, a glitter, the base/top coat and a cuticle oil so in total £6 which is less that 1 of my favourite indie polishes! Semilac Hybrid Gel Polish Swatches and Review

Hi Everyone, A few weeks ago I was sent some gel polishes from Semilac UK to swatch and review, unfortunately my current illness hasn't been playing ball so this review has been a bit delayed but I wanted to give them a wear test before posting anything as I hadn't tried them before. ILNP Summer Collection Swatches

Happy Friday Everyone, I'm desperately trying to work through lots of my untried products and swatches to bring you all more blog posts. The swatches I have for you this evening are some polishes I have had for a few weeks now and as with a lot of my new purchases got written in my swatch book and then put in the new and untried pile!! Well I have now put this right. ILNP (I Love Nail Polish) is a boutique nail lacquer from America and I got mine from UK indie stockist  Rainbow Connection , I chose to get 4 polishes from this collection, 2 nudes and 2 blues (obviously!) First up is Peachy Queen - This is a sheer soft peach with the most beautiful rainbow holographic sparkle - I couldn't get over how sparkly it was! its also shot through with micro gold flakes that gives it a really sophisticated look.
