Presenting Picture Polish Alice

Image
Hi Everyone, I have been planning this post for a while now and I wanted to make sure it was perfect and I'm finally happy with what I'm posting today. Several months ago my lovely friend Annette from Rainbow Connection let myself and the Polished Prince Karl into a little secret - she was collaborating with Aussie Indie brand Picture Polish for her own polish. Well I cannot tell you how happy and excited Karl and I were. We were even more excited when we got a sneak peek of the shade a week or so later and OMG she could have designed it for me - it was the ultimate Helen polish!! Well Karl and I somehow managed to keep the most exciting secret until the release and 2 weeks ago Alice was finally revealed and launched to the polish community. Annette's inspiration for this polish was the wonderful Alice in Wonderland and I really think the colour has been captured perfectly. This really is the most vibrant blue with little silver flakies and it is a perfect match...

Delush Polish Swatches and Review

Image
Happy Monday Everyone, I hope you have all had a good day. I have another post for you today and this time it's some polish swatches. I always get excited when Annette brings new brands to Rainbow Connection especially when they are brands I haven't tried before. When Annette announced she would be stocking Delush Polish I looked through the polishes and straight away the newest summer collection - the Nautical by Nature collection caught my eye. It was full of bright, fun, summery colours and I knew these would be a good place to start with a new brand to me. I eventually narrowed my selection down to 3 although there are at least 2 more I have to have!! These are my choices. I always have to get a blue especially when I'm trying a brand for the 1st time because blue is my top pick go to colour. I have found my eye drawn to neon greens a lot lately and this one was no different and coral is my must have shade for summer so decided that was a must have. So the ...

Esmaltes da Kelly Stamping plate review

Image
Hi everyone, Firstly I must apologise for my lack of blogging in recent months, I have had some personal things going on and blogging has had to take a back seat but i'm going to attempt to get back into it. Today I have swatches and review of the new EDK stamping plates I got from Rainbow connection and a new stamper I also got from there, so lets get on with it! So these are the products i'm trying, Kelly Negri plates - KN2, KN3, KN4 and the new short barrel clear stamper. The plates are 8x8cm with a selection of images on them and there are some really nice images. Plate KN2 has 12 images. my favourite is the daisy image but I also like the checkerboard illusion one. Here are some swatches from this plate - Plate KN3 has 13 images including a big flower one which I think would be perfect for reverse stamping, these images are smaller and I think would be ideal for double stamping and decal making, the flowerpots are so cute. Finally KN4 ha...

Nail Gems Itsy giveaway

Hope everyone is having a good week, I am a bit manic lately which is why I have been quiet on my social media but I wanted to share these with you. I was lucky enough to be chosen as the winner of the lovely Gemmas giveaway on instagram, she had teamed up with Itsy Nails and the prize was 3 beautiful polishes. I got home from work one day last week and the package was waiting for me and honestly I couldn't believe it when I opened it. I was only expecting 3 polishes but Gemma had very kindly added lots of extras - nail vinyls, transfers, fines, dotting tools and a cute little mirror. There were also lots of sweeties which I gave to my nephew as I recently joined slimming world! The polishes were even more beautiful in real life and I couldn't wait to try them. I have mixed feelings about some of the gel effect polishes on the market so was keen to try a different brand. I'll show you my swatches then give you my thoughts. 1st up is this gorgeous sunny yellow ca...

Pretty Serious Pastel Collection

Image
Hi everyone, Hope you are having a good week, Today I have some swatches of the new Pretty Serious collection. When I saw these on Facebook I instantly fell in love and knew I had to have them and as I haven't bought much polish recently I decided to treat myself to the full collection. These are a gorgeous creme pastel collection and straight away I knew they would be good because they were a good formula not to thick like some pastels can be but not to thin so I had a feeling they would be easy to apply and I was right! Lets get on with the swatches and believe me if you haven't got any of these you need them. This is the green in the collection - its a minty pastel green called Bunny-Foo-Foo. I'm a bit hit and miss with pink at the moment and haven't worn it for ages but I instantly fell in love with this one, it is the perfect pastel pink called Fluffykins. I always love a good peach for summer and without a doubt this is a good peach, its ca...

Hit the Bottle Swatches

Happy Monday everyone, Hope you all had a fab weekend and monday morning hasn't been too stressful. I have an unplanned morning off as my nephew is poorly and didn't go to school so I have taken the morning off to look after him so I thought I would use the time to do some swatches and a post. I haven't been buying much polish recently as I have been mainly wearing gel and I wanted to put some money into getting some bits for my business so put myself on a very low buy but I decided stamping polish can be used for work too so these didn't count!! I actually got my 1st HTB polishes for Christmas and have used them a bit but I never did a review/swatches of them so I thought now I had a few more I would. Hit the Bottle is an Australian Indie brand that makes 5 free stamping polishes. So lets get on with the swatches - My Hit the Bottle Collection  Looking for Mr Grey is a grey creme and stamps great over black and white. Lets go to the Peach is exactly...
