Iridescent Nail Glitters from GlitterArty Nails - Swatches

Happy Saturday Nail Buddies,

For those of you that didn't know I am a qualified Nail Technician and have recently qualified in Acrylic Nail extensions, I am now doing an acrylic art qualification and am embracing my love of all things sparkly!!
I found an amazing seller on Ebay - GlitterArty Nails and honestly it is glitter heaven so I may have purchased 1 or 2 glitters!

Looking through all the products I was instantly taken by some Iridescent Glitters with Gold Ting so bought 10! These can be used with acrylic, gel polish and hard gel and I will be using them in my acrylic art but for swatching purposes I used them with gel polish.

So here are the glitters I got

These are 008. glitters and I got 5g bags which are 99p - how perfect are these colours for summer, I have so many ideas.

Bluebell - a beautiful blue

Snap Dragon is a neon pink

Iris is also a blue but they are definitely different - I think this is slightly dusky

Blossom is a beautiful pink

Sunflower - well you need a yellow for summer - I'm thinking ombre

Crocus is a slightly peachy pink - paler than blossom

Orange Blossom - can you see this orange with sunflower?

Thistle is such a stunning green and it really shows the gold in it

Lavender is exactly that a lavender purple colour

and finally Orchid this is the most beautiful peach colour

And here they all are together. For this swatches I did base coat cure 45sec, patted the glitter in and dusted they applied a 2nd base coat cure 45sec and added a second layer of glitter then added top coat cured 45sec and wiped off the tacky layer. I am head over heels for these colours and can't wait to try mixing with acrylic. I'm thinking of trying them for my next manicure as I need to do infills soon.

Hello Again, Today on my blog I have swatches of the 5 new Barry M Molten Metal polishes. I never tried the original 4 which were released last year but I decided I liked the look of these so would give them a try. I got them on 2 for £7 from Boots but they are also available from Superdrug (I will leave links below) Barry M are probably my favourite high street brand and I like a lot of their finishes and different effects. What I also loved about these are the big, flat brushes because I really find they help get an even coat across the nail in minimal brush strokes. As with all the Barry M polishes I have tried I couldn't find any fault with the formula - they applied like a dream, I'd forgotten just how much I like them if I'm honest - they are just as amazing as some of my favourite indie brands. Poundland Make Up Gallery Nail Polish

Happy Sunday Nail Lovelies. A few weeks back I was in Poundland and I thought while I was there I would grab a few polishes and bits to review, for £1 each I thought i'd have a try. I settled on 3 of the pastel creme colours, a glitter, the base/top coat and a cuticle oil so in total £6 which is less that 1 of my favourite indie polishes! I started by applying the glitter to my little and index finger - I did this over a peel off base coat because I hate glitter removal! Peel off bases are amazing invention, I am currently using the Miss Sporty one which I have found pretty good, I don't really have the same polish on for long enough to do a good wear test though! Anyway the glitter I chose was a clear/silver holo, very pretty and very sparkly and I did like how it looked over my peach acrylics. How to apply Magpie Products

It's a new week and I hope you all have some gorgeous manicures planned. I was meant to post this on Friday but things got in the way but at least I am posting!! I will get on top of my blogging schedule soon...I promise!! So as a nail technician I like to use lots of different products and currently one of my most popular is Magpie Beauty glitters and dusts. These are the most amazing sparkly products that can really bling up a manicure, they are fab so today I'm going to show you how I use them with gel polish. I am going to show the application technique for glitter, dust and pigments.
