Stamper Test and Review

Image
Happy Sunday everyone, hope you have all had a good weekend. I have a post today testing and reviewing some different stampers that I have. Most of us use stamping in our nail art these days but is one stamper better than another? If you don't already stamp I definitely recommend you give it a go as it's brilliant for adding something extra to your manicure but it does take a bit of practice to get the hang of it! I have tested 5 stampers and I purchased all of them from Rainbow Connection. Not only does Annette stock a wide range of polishes she also has stamping supplies and other nail care items so I definitely suggest you have a look on the website and maybe get some Christmas Pressie Ideas! Check out RC here -  http://rainbow-connection.co.uk/ So here are the stampers I tested and my thoughts - 1st up is the New Messy Mansion Jumbo stamper. This comes as a set with 2 super soft heads in translucent and black a stainless steel holder and a credit card style scrape

Paint The Rainbow Box November

Image
Well polish fans it's that time of the month again (although a little bit early this month) my November Paint the Rainbow box arrived this morning and I was so excited by this box that I had to swatch ASAP! Well the 1st thing I can tell you about this box is that just like all the others this one is incredible, all 5 polishes are gorgeous so Annette and all 5 makers give yourselves a pat on the back because yet again you have outdone yourselves. This months theme was Disney Villains and as a huge Disney fan I couldn't wait to see where the makers took their inspiration from, The box featured our regulars CBL and Bear Pawlish and Julieann of UK brand Freckles was back but this month we had 2 brands making their debut and they have fitted in superbly. Here are the 5 inspiration pictures the makers chose -  There are some real evil villains in there but there is nothing evil about these colours! Here is this months box and we also saw the debut of the new bags...these

CBL - New Winter Collection

Image
So Polish guys and gals, when I see the words New CBL collection I get just a little bit excited and really do want to dance around the room because Leah Ann is a goddess in my eyes...her polishes are always something special and I just cant say no to the holo goodness of Colors by Llarowe! So when Annette announced they would be on Rainbow Connection last week I checked out the swatches and somehow limited myself to 7 - I have since decided I need 3 others though!!! Ok 1st up is Hot Buttered Rum a gorgeous pale gold/nude holo. Any Harry Potter fans out there? - I imagine Butterbeer would be this colour! I nearly didn't get this but so glad I changed my mind. Jewel of Denial was another I nearly didn't get but I decided I did need it. It's hard to pick up from this picture but this is an Emerald Green with blue undertones, the flash really picks up the blue in it. Top of my wish list was Ice Ice Baby - think the name says it all really, and icy/sky blue hol

Grace-Full Christmas Polish haul from Rainbow Connection

Image
Well on this windy miserable Wednesday I have some polishes to show you that I hope will brighten up everyones day. I am a bit of a sucker when it comes to Grace-Full polishes these days, Theresa knows how to make some holotastic polishes and when I saw these Christmas collection polishes on RC I knew I needed some in my collection. I managed to narrow it down to 4 but I'm pretty sure if funds had allowed there would be more. So the swatches - as usual with my swatches they are 2 coats of colour and pictures are taken in my light box, 1 without the flash and 1 with so you can see all the holo gorgeousness. 1st up is Christmas Rose, now these pictures don't do this polish justice because this is the most perfect Rose Gold colour. I am a big fan of Rose Gold and my eye is drawn to jewelry in this colour instantly and finding the perfect Rose Gold polish has been something I have wanted for ages and this ticks every box for me, it is Beautiful, I loved it the moment I p

Indie Brand of the Week 6 Luna Loves...

Image
Hi guys, Wow what a busy week I have had but I have managed to find time to swatch and do my Indie Brand of the Week. This week features the UK's newest 5 free, cruelty free brand Luna Loves... created by the lovely Elaine. The brand I believe is named after her cat Luna (I hope I'm right and Luna likes this post!) Luna Loves...was only launched a couple of weeks ago and included The Australia Collection, Tokyo Collection and The Cats Duo and there are some must have holos! I was a bit late in getting my order in so there was a lot that was sold out but I did manage to nab 2 I had my eye on. This stunning pink is called Byron Bay Sights, its has the most gorgeous gold holo in it and it glows in UV lights. This pink is so easy to wear. This swatch picture shows with (top pic) and without (bottom pic) flash and all pictures were taken in my light box. Well who knew I would be getting a blue? Melborne Nights is an amazing twinkly holo blue, now I love blue poli
