Review of new Rainbow Connection Crystal Stamper

Image
Hello all my lovely nail friends, I am back...I am still struggling with my health and off work but I'm trying to get myself back and with that trying to find my nail passion again so I thought blogging again would be a good place to start. I have also made some changes to my Facebook page as I'm still not working it is my swatch and review page at present, I am also attempting short video tutorials and will hopefully be venturing into YouTube soon!!! So today's post is a review of the new 2 in 1 Crystal Embellished stamper the lovely Annette from Rainbow Connection sent me. This stamper has 2 large stamping heads with see through barrels and can be stacked for easy storage, it has a lid to protect the stamping head and crystals in the bottom. Each head is different 1 is domed and firmer while the other is flatter and slightly squishier (I prefer this one) although it is not as squishy as my all time favourite!! As with my previous reviews I chose to swa...

Christmas Nails - Part 2

Image
Happy Christmas Eve Everyone. Yesterday I posted Part 1 of my Christmas Day mani and today I have the rest of it. I decided I wanted to create some Icy Blue nails that resemble luxury wrapping paper. All the products I used for the rest of this mani were purchased from  Rainbow Connection  and some are still available. I started by painting 2 coats of Cirque Colours Idyllic on my ring and middle fingers and Reflektor on my index and thumb (Reflektor is no longer available) These colours were perfect for my icy look and definitely look luxurious on the nail - they dry quite quickly too. Once dry I put some latex around my middle and index ready to do a sponged gradient. You can get Zap from RC but I have a big bottle from Ebay which I use. Let the latex dry. *Please don't use liquid latex if you have a latex allergy - you can use tape around the nail instead* Using a cosmetic sponge (I have a bag from the pound shop) apply 2 stripes of your polishes onto the spon...

Marianne Nails Plate 1 Swatches and Review

Image
Hi Everyone, Those of you who are regular followers of me on social media will know that I recently took a break to focus on my health - this included blogging but I have been starting to miss it all so I am easing myself back. The lovely Annette from  Rainbow Connection  recently sent me a plate from Marianne Nails to review. This is a new brand to me and to RC so I was very excited to give it a try and test it out for my fellow RC stamping fans. The plate I was sent was Plate 1 and its has some beautiful floral images on it. My 1st impression of this plate was that it's great for any length nails as there are small individual images, mid-long full nail images and 3 extra large images for really long nails. In total 23 images. I also loved that there are some mirror images to create designs across the nails. So when you get a new plate the 1st thing you do is take off the blue film and I could tell after that, that this plate is really well etched. Then give the...

Creative Shop 22 - Swatches and Review

Image
Hi Lovelies, Hope you are all well. The lovely Annette from Rainbow Connection sent me some plates to swatch recently and I was very excited when I received them as I haven't tried the Creative Shop plates yet so I was keen to do a thorough swatch and review. The plates each have 14 good sized images and they are big enough for my longer nails which is always a bonus (I have just filed my nails a bit shorter though) Some of the images had very thin intricate lines which can sometimes be trickier to pick up so I was keen to see how these did. The plate I'm showing you today is 22 which has some beautiful floral images - its a very feminine plate in my opinion and I really like it. I also found when I took the clear film off the images were well etched.  I decided to 1st test the plate with various polishes and stampers to see if there were any combinations didn't work. I tested with the following polishes - EDK - Teddy EDK - Carina Colour Alike - B a Venu...

Hit the Bottle Swatches

Image
Happy Monday everyone, Hope you all had a fab weekend and monday morning hasn't been too stressful. I have an unplanned morning off as my nephew is poorly and didn't go to school so I have taken the morning off to look after him so I thought I would use the time to do some swatches and a post. I haven't been buying much polish recently as I have been mainly wearing gel and I wanted to put some money into getting some bits for my business so put myself on a very low buy but I decided stamping polish can be used for work too so these didn't count!! I actually got my 1st HTB polishes for Christmas and have used them a bit but I never did a review/swatches of them so I thought now I had a few more I would. Hit the Bottle is an Australian Indie brand that makes 5 free stamping polishes. So lets get on with the swatches - My Hit the Bottle Collection  Looking for Mr Grey is a grey creme and stamps great over black and white. Lets go to the Peach is exactly...
