Colors by Llarowe May POTM & #clairestelle8may Scales prompt

Hey Everyone,

Hope your week has been going ok?

Today I have swatches of the most recent Polish of the Month by Colors by Llarowe. I got this from Rainbow Connection but unfortunately it is now sold out and it was a Limited Edition one time only polish but its so beautiful I had to show it off.

Also this month I am taking part in @clairestelle8 challenge on instagram and I used this polish as the base for the 2nd prompt which is scales. I have done a step by step for how I created it.

Polish of the Month
This month the polish was a gorgeous green shifty multichrome polish called Emerald Illusion.

The polish is a turqouise base that shift to a royal blue to a bright emerald green with shimmer. Leah Ann always pulls out something extra special and this is an absolutely extraordinary polish.

💅🏻 My swatches show 2 coats with no top coat 💅🏻

These 1st pictures were taken indoors under my LED light -

These next picture were taken out in my garden in natural sunlight -

As I hope you can see this polish is absolutely gorgeous - sorry I've added so many pictures but I wanted to try and show the depth of the shiftiness in this polish. I 💚 💙 it.

So on to my mani for the scales prompt for #clairestelle8may

I used the base of Emerald Illusion. This is my thumb which I kept plain in the mani.

On my little, middle and index finger I added a coat of Superchic G-Force base coat and left to dry for around 5 minutes.
I got this from Rainbow Connection - it is currently out of stock but is due back in somewhen I believe.

Using these Chameleon Starry Palette Sparkly ultra-thin Glitter Sequins in 2517 I patted on to the outer edge of my little and index finger and covered my entire middle finger. At 1st I used a brush but I actually found using my finger worked better. Then using a duster brush I dusted off the excess.

I then topped those 3 nails with UNT peel off base without capping the free edge and allowed to dry for 5 minutes.
You can get UNT here
On my clear stamper I created a scales reverse stamp (product details further down) and allowed to dry. I coloured in my scales with a small dotting tool.

The polishes I used for the scales are Colors by Llarowe Blue Steel, The Resistance, Living on Borrowed Time and Kindness.
These were all purchased from Rainbow Connection and although not all are still available there are lots of other gorgeous colours available here

My reverse stamp was made using the scale image on this Bundle Monster plate BM-XL211 this plate was one of the blogger collaboration plates with twi_star. I also used this image to stamp on my little and index finger.
This plate is available here

On my middle finger I stamped the dragon image which is the 1st               image on the 2nd row, It didn't show as clearly as I would have liked but I know its there! This is the Uberchic Far East 01 plate which I got when She Sells Seashells were a stockist.

For stamping I used -
Clear Stamper - available here
RC Scraper - available here
Painted Polish Midnight Mischief - available here

I put some nail polish remover in a small dappen dish and using my RC clean up brush available here and cleaned up any excess around my nail and cuticle.

Finally I top coated using my favourite top coat Glisten & Glow HK Girl.
This is due to be restocked on Rainbow Connection very soon.
and here is the finished mani. I smudged my decal slightly at the tip so I added some G-Force base and when that had gone tacky I added some of the chameleon flakes - I actually like how that turned out!!
