Cupcake Polish - Las Vegas Showgirl Collection

Hello Nail Fanatics.

As you probably learnt from my last post I am a big fan of the online shop Rainbow Connection and it is definitely the source of a lot of my polish collection especially some of my much love indie.

In my last couple of orders I received some of the new Cupcake Polish Collection and I am going to share my swatches with you today.

But first a bit about Cupcake Polish - They are a US based Indie Polish maker making hand mixed 3-free polishes in the most stunning glitter and holo finishes.

So here are the polishes I swatched -

First up we have Copa Girls -
This has to be one of the most stunning purple polishes I have seen with micro holo glitter in blue purple and red and silver flakies it really is beautiful.

Next is Foiles Bergere -
This is a gunmetal black/grey again with micro holo glitters in rainbow colours and silver flakies - another stunner in my opinion.

And finally Bluebell Girls
This blue is shot through with micro holo glitters in blues, greens and teals and has the silver flakies. Now you will soon learn that I am a huge fan of blue polish and I will nearly always say this is my new favourite and this one is no different it is absolutely gorgeous

So there are my swatches.

All of these were 2 coats of colour with a top coat and as its grey and raining I used my camera flash for the pictures to give you best view of the holoness.

I love the formula of these they were easy to apply and dried really quickly. Because of the flakies they don't dry completely smooth but the top coat takes care of that and I found they removed really easily.

Hello Again, Today on my blog I have swatches of the 5 new Barry M Molten Metal polishes. I never tried the original 4 which were released last year but I decided I liked the look of these so would give them a try. I got them on 2 for £7 from Boots but they are also available from Superdrug (I will leave links below) Barry M are probably my favourite high street brand and I like a lot of their finishes and different effects. What I also loved about these are the big, flat brushes because I really find they help get an even coat across the nail in minimal brush strokes. As with all the Barry M polishes I have tried I couldn't find any fault with the formula - they applied like a dream, I'd forgotten just how much I like them if I'm honest - they are just as amazing as some of my favourite indie brands. So the swatches - Blue Glacier - Well you must know me and blues by now and this one has definitely got the thumbs up from me! I think the name sums it up perfect

Poundland Make Up Gallery Nail Polish

Happy Sunday Nail Lovelies. A few weeks back I was in Poundland and I thought while I was there I would grab a few polishes and bits to review, for £1 each I thought i'd have a try. I settled on 3 of the pastel creme colours, a glitter, the base/top coat and a cuticle oil so in total £6 which is less that 1 of my favourite indie polishes! I started by applying the glitter to my little and index finger - I did this over a peel off base coat because I hate glitter removal! Peel off bases are amazing invention, I am currently using the Miss Sporty one which I have found pretty good, I don't really have the same polish on for long enough to do a good wear test though! Anyway the glitter I chose was a clear/silver holo, very pretty and very sparkly and I did like how it looked over my peach acrylics. How to apply Magpie Products

It's a new week and I hope you all have some gorgeous manicures planned. I was meant to post this on Friday but things got in the way but at least I am posting!! I will get on top of my blogging schedule soon...I promise!! So as a nail technician I like to use lots of different products and currently one of my most popular is Magpie Beauty glitters and dusts. These are the most amazing sparkly products that can really bling up a manicure, they are fab so today I'm going to show you how I use them with gel polish. I am going to show the application technique for glitter, dust and pigments.
