CBL - Polish of the Month

Hi Lovelies,

This is the 1st of 2 blogposts for tonight but I had to share this beautiful polish with you all.

A couple of months ago the lovely Leah Ann of Colors by Llarowe announced she would be releasing and polish of the month on the 1st of every month. As a huge CBL fan (I now own 60 and counting!) this was very exciting news to me and I knew I would have to get my order in every month
Luckily for us UK girlies the amazing Annette from Rainbow Connection was on hand to ensure we could get our hands on them.

Now this is the 2nd months polish and at 8pm on the 1st September I was logging into my RC account to order this beauty,

So this gorgeous colour is called Talk to the Hand and honestly I haven't stopped looking at it. Leah Ann does the most amazing holo polishes and this one is spectacular!
Its described as a blue toned deep magenta intense linear holo with purple flame and micro pink flakies. Personally I think it more that meets this description, it really is a beautiful magenta. I also think it has a bit of a gold undertone to it but as with all holos we can all pick out different colours in different lights.

Its a perfect colour to take you from summer into autumn because it is still really vibrant but being a purple its got an autumnal feel to it and its so sparkly.

I used 2 coats of colour and the CBL pdq topcoat and I really feel this topcoat helps bring out the holo sparkle even more.

This is a limited edition so when its gone its gone!

Barry M Molten Metal Swatches

Hello Again, Today on my blog I have swatches of the 5 new Barry M Molten Metal polishes. I never tried the original 4 which were released last year but I decided I liked the look of these so would give them a try. I got them on 2 for £7 from Boots but they are also available from Superdrug (I will leave links below) Barry M are probably my favourite high street brand and I like a lot of their finishes and different effects. What I also loved about these are the big, flat brushes because I really find they help get an even coat across the nail in minimal brush strokes. As with all the Barry M polishes I have tried I couldn't find any fault with the formula - they applied like a dream, I'd forgotten just how much I like them if I'm honest - they are just as amazing as some of my favourite indie brands. So the swatches - Blue Glacier - Well you must know me and blues by now and this one has definitely got the thumbs up from me! I think the name sums it up perfect

Poundland Make Up Gallery Nail Polish

Happy Sunday Nail Lovelies. A few weeks back I was in Poundland and I thought while I was there I would grab a few polishes and bits to review, for £1 each I thought i'd have a try. I settled on 3 of the pastel creme colours, a glitter, the base/top coat and a cuticle oil so in total £6 which is less that 1 of my favourite indie polishes! I started by applying the glitter to my little and index finger - I did this over a peel off base coat because I hate glitter removal! Peel off bases are amazing invention, I am currently using the Miss Sporty one which I have found pretty good, I don't really have the same polish on for long enough to do a good wear test though! Anyway the glitter I chose was a clear/silver holo, very pretty and very sparkly and I did like how it looked over my peach acrylics. How to apply Magpie Products

It's a new week and I hope you all have some gorgeous manicures planned. I was meant to post this on Friday but things got in the way but at least I am posting!! I will get on top of my blogging schedule soon...I promise!! So as a nail technician I like to use lots of different products and currently one of my most popular is Magpie Beauty glitters and dusts. These are the most amazing sparkly products that can really bling up a manicure, they are fab so today I'm going to show you how I use them with gel polish. I am going to show the application technique for glitter, dust and pigments.
