Femme Fatale Swatches

Hi Nail Buddies,

Hope you are all having a good week.

I have some swatches for you tonight from a brand that is relatively new to me! I actually cant believe I am so late to the party with this brand because there are some stunning polishes. Femme Fatale is a 3 free Australian indie brand and one thing I have noticed is they make some beautiful thermal polishes.
I have 4 polishes to show you and they are all Rainbow Connection exclusives - 2 have been released quite recently and the other 2 were from earlier this year.

This is a deep aubergine purple with rainbow glitter particles, it is so sparkly and a great shade going into autumn/winter.




Prim and Copper - http://rainbow-connection.co.uk/collections/femme-fatale-cosmetics/products/prim-and-copper-store-exclusive
This is more of a deep mauve shade with a gorgeous golden shimmer and glitter particles, again this is a great colour going into autumn/winter. I actually cant believe I have only just got this but I can understand why it kept selling out because it is beautiful.

A gorgeous turquoise blue linear holo with silver, blue and green glitters. I cant find anything I don't like about this and the name suits it perfectly because it really is a sea colour.

This is a beautiful blue thermal going from a sea foam blue to a bright ocean blue with gorgeous glitters. Again the name is perfect because this really captures a beautiful clear ocean with the white/pale blue of crashing waves. I absolutely love this one.


All of these swatches show 2 coats with top coat and the formula of these polishes are fab - they go on great and the dry time is also good. 2 coats also achieves great coverage.
I really love all of these polishes and I am glad I finally gave this brand a try because it is an amazing indie (I do now own quite a few more!)

Barry M Molten Metal Swatches

Hello Again, Today on my blog I have swatches of the 5 new Barry M Molten Metal polishes. I never tried the original 4 which were released last year but I decided I liked the look of these so would give them a try. I got them on 2 for £7 from Boots but they are also available from Superdrug (I will leave links below) Barry M are probably my favourite high street brand and I like a lot of their finishes and different effects. What I also loved about these are the big, flat brushes because I really find they help get an even coat across the nail in minimal brush strokes. As with all the Barry M polishes I have tried I couldn't find any fault with the formula - they applied like a dream, I'd forgotten just how much I like them if I'm honest - they are just as amazing as some of my favourite indie brands. So the swatches - Blue Glacier - Well you must know me and blues by now and this one has definitely got the thumbs up from me! I think the name sums it up perfect

Poundland Make Up Gallery Nail Polish

Happy Sunday Nail Lovelies. A few weeks back I was in Poundland and I thought while I was there I would grab a few polishes and bits to review, for £1 each I thought i'd have a try. I settled on 3 of the pastel creme colours, a glitter, the base/top coat and a cuticle oil so in total £6 which is less that 1 of my favourite indie polishes! I started by applying the glitter to my little and index finger - I did this over a peel off base coat because I hate glitter removal! Peel off bases are amazing invention, I am currently using the Miss Sporty one which I have found pretty good, I don't really have the same polish on for long enough to do a good wear test though! Anyway the glitter I chose was a clear/silver holo, very pretty and very sparkly and I did like how it looked over my peach acrylics. How to apply Magpie Products

It's a new week and I hope you all have some gorgeous manicures planned. I was meant to post this on Friday but things got in the way but at least I am posting!! I will get on top of my blogging schedule soon...I promise!! So as a nail technician I like to use lots of different products and currently one of my most popular is Magpie Beauty glitters and dusts. These are the most amazing sparkly products that can really bling up a manicure, they are fab so today I'm going to show you how I use them with gel polish. I am going to show the application technique for glitter, dust and pigments.
